"Look" said Agent Sherman, leaning over the desk "I work for the FBI and I am in a really bad mood, and I don't need some little desk monkey with a little name badge quoting policy at me. I want to speak to your supervisor's supervisor's supervisor, and I want to talk to--it--now. I don't think your nice little park here should be fucking with the US Federal government. That didn't work out so well at Pearl Harbor."

Goldie and Sam were wandering the park, enjoying their rare time off. The chance to spend some time together was enabling them to get to know each other. Sam had been a young man who loved dogs, and wanted to work in the security profession. Given the way anthro bodies were becoming more common in the profession, the chance to be a husky and learn how to handle an anthro-canine body was too good to pass up.
The fact that Sam was such a straight arrow was making it harder for Goldie. She already knew that the fact that she had been male was no big deal, but Sam didn't know her real past. "Sam" she began "Have they taught you about problem predators yet? People who use their claws and teeth to bully the smaller species. Not killers and torturers like Max, but just mean bullies?"
"Yes, we learned about them."
"Sam, when I was male, I was one of them. I called myself the Lone Wolf, and" she swallowed hard "I bullied helpless creatures like rabbits. I even smeared blood on a poor, defenseless rabbit-girl. I'll never forget the look on her face. I was an angry, bitter loser who took out his inadequacies on helpless victims."
"I find that hard to believe." Sam began.
"Believe it! I'm glad that you don't see that in me now, but all of its true. I was a cheap bully long before I was a wolf, as well. Sam, I can never go back to being human. The only thing that has saved me is the discipline of being a husky, and maybe the fact that my body is now a low-testosterone environment. I'm going to be Goldie the husky bitch for the rest of my days." Goldie's eyes popped open in surprise. Until she said those words, she hadn't even realized that she had made that choice. Maybe Harry was right about Gender Change Syndrome.
Sam took Goldie into his arms. "When I look at you, all I can see is the brave, beautiful, smart husky WOMAN who saved me from Max. They told me that you never left my side all the way in to the regen chamber, even though you were wounded yourself. Why do I care about some long-gone, creepy guy? He means less than nothing to me."
He let go, and the two walked together in companionable silence for a few minutes. But young anthro-canines have to be a bit more active. Sam picked up a stick, threw it, and the two chased after it. Goldie got there first and took the stick in her mouth, and Sam chased after her. The two rolled around the grass, Goldie laughing for the first time since she had become a husky. After more play, they curled up for a nap.

"Yo, Esteban" called Charlotte to the jaguarmorph outside the door.
"What?"
"We're anthro-canines, we can't be cooped up in a room all day. We need to go for a walk on the grounds."
"I don't know about that."
"The Minotaur said 'every hospitality'. I don't know about you, but I don't consider keeping people locked up in a room 'hospitality.'"
"Well, OK then."
