"Hey, Sam, you busy?"
"Not right now, why? You want to come over and have some fun?"
"Kind of, but I want you to come over here; I've got something to show you."
"Oh, the suspense is killing me. I'll be right over."
Sam was Mark's lover. He was the same age as Mark and he had the softest brown hair and deepest blue eyes Mark had ever seen. They had been best friends since kindergarten and when they hit puberty they had begun experimenting with each other. Ever since then, they had been a couple. They didn't hide it, but they tried to keep as low a profile as possible.
Sam arrived and Mark showed him the strange vials he had received. Sam looked at them skeptically. "You don't actually think these are real do you? It's probably poisonous or full of roofies so someone can come in and kidnap you."
"I thought about that," Mark reasoned, "but then why go through the trouble of making an elaborate case with a bunch of choices? They could have done the same thing with one vial in a cardboard box."
"I guess you're right, but what if they don't work right?"
"That's why I called you over. If anything happens, you can call for an ambulance."
"Okay," Sam agreed, "but I'm still not sure about this."
"Neither am I," Mark admitted.
