What no one knew, was that the virus had mutated, and had done much as some historians now believed the black plague was truly spread (rather than by rats fleas)and had achieved a much longer incubation period, while at the same time staying just as infectious. And given had already become used to the idea the virus was spread via an already obviously transformed victim, no one would give any thought to normal human beings unwittingly carrying it. These warehouse workers would spread it to their friends and loved ones, and those on their friends and family and coworkers, in an endless cycle, and by the time the virus' symptoms would manifest itself, the hysteria and fear over the mutating virus would have died down. In six months, the changes would not be isolated easy to contain locations, it would be across the world.
