I sat in a chair and stared at her, watching her sleep. It wasn't until then that I really considered what I'd done. I'd convinced a woman she was crazy. Not in the "bitches be crazy" sense, but actually, medically insane.
I actually felt kind of bad about it.
I stood up and left the room, leaving her be. I didn't want to fan the flames of a fire I'd lit, lest she actually go crazy. As I let myself out of the apartment, I turned and looked back, only for a moment. I whispered "I'm sorry," before leaving for good, making sure to lock the door behind me.
I walked to the university campus and strolled about, admiring the architecture. As the night drew on, I felt myself growing tired. I sat down on a bench, and passed out.
I woke up the next morning to see students rushing to classes. "It must be nearly eight," I thought as I yawned and stretched. I looked about the campus, trying to decide what to do with my day.
