Lia looked as shi paces back and forth, looking at Luna and Ryles. Lia had been contemplating something. "Luna, I just realized. What if Sydney was they way it was, not as a diversion, but the lust and violent sides of the virus affected the humans, but those that changes they didn't cling?"
Luna looked at hir mate and thought. "You mean, those that didn't change became lust filled and passed the changing gene on causing the out break, while the other's changed?"
"Exactly. The only way to prove it, is to look around Rio. They said that most people are calm, well. I think that the kats are the calm ones." Shi started walking, Ryles behind hir.
Ryles walked forward. "You mean, most the people in austrailia could have somewhat like Jess had. We were testing that theory on the O type and the D strand seperately. The D prevents the change, while the O prevents the side effect of the change. Thus why, when Sally changed, she didn't feel the lust." He walked back and forth. "Perhaps you, for example, have type O minus the D strand, and others had the D strand but were another type all together."
Lia nodded. "Exactly. So what if that situation is the same here? I mean, after all that's happened, I'm about to believe anything is possible. See, that's the thing though. I've got no evidence to back it up. While out patroling we need to bring in anyone that is a kat and anyone that isn't that's acting like a kat would." Shi looked. "I've been studying with Jess on the stuff to get a better idea."
Luna smiled. "You know, if you learn from hir you can apply that for college credits." Shi giggled.
Lia smiled. "I know."
So the three left to go search for what Lia had need of. Shi was swaying hir tail from side to side. Luna though, was feeling kinda woozy and had to step to the side. Just then they heard hir getting sick. Lia looked walking up to hir. "Luna, are you alright?"
Luna nodded. "Yeah. I've been feeling queezy for awhile."
Lia looked. "Okay, first we're going to a drugstore and see if we can't find anything." Shi giggled. "To help I mean. I know Snowy said we can't get stds, but don't mean we can't eat something that don't agree with our stomachs."
Ryles nodded, then looked. "You know, I just realized. The more and more I'm like this... the less and less I want a rodent." Shi giggled walking up then sniffs. "I don't think we need go to a drugstore."
Lia looked at hir. "Why?"
Ryles looked. "Well, you're a dingokat and shi's a wolfkat. Not much difference. You can smell what's wrong."
Lia looked and shook hir head sniffing, before looking at Ryles. "It can't be."
Ryles looked. "You're hir mate. Traditionally, mates can tell if the other is pregnant. I just paid attention to the signs, that's all."
Lia looks and sniffs. "But it'd be too early."
Ryles looks. "You mean for her to... well, your seed takes less than an hour to travel to an egg. And though shi wasn't in heat, there are less then 0.00001 percent chance to impregnate, and well, you just hit that small percent." Ryles pointed out. "Has she been eating unusually? Feeling odd cravings, and doing things differently, like wanting to knit?"
"Yes." Lia looked.
"Those are the signs." Shi giggled. "So though you're not pregnant, shi is." Ryles walked over towards the water and shook his head. "What in the world...."
Lia looks. "What is it?"
"Well... I think they've altered the virus even further than we thought." He points to the water and what looks like a man dressed like a dophin swimming near the coast. "That or released two virus' to change people into that."
Luna looked. "Anthro dolphin? Well, that is different for sure. We'll have to report it when we get back. It seems that they're finding ways around the vacc...." Luna's ears perked up. "Oh shit." Shi then turned and led the way back to hq to report.
