Tran woke with a start as one of the truckers hastily wrapped him in a jacket and tried to hold him down. Shrieking and clawing wildly at anything within reach, he managed to break free, rising into the air as fast as he was able in a blind panic. He began to circle around, attempting to find his bearings as a growing crowd below stared up at him. After a few loops around the area, he recovered enough of his wits to realize he was almost at the Mexican border. Fear was replaced with glee as he dove forward, gliding towards freedom... until a bullet struck him in the wing, bringing him quickly to the ground as the pain and exertion caused him to faint.

Katie did her best to ignore the knocking at her door. What would it be this time? More solicitors? An invitation to Irene's baby shower she'd have to sign for? A court summons over traumatized rabbits? She pulled her pillow tight around her ears, trying to drown it out, but they just kept knocking. Whoever it was, they wouldn't give up. Of course, when they started shouting her name, she realized who it was. "Hang on!" she shouted, pulling herself out of bed, and doing her best to clean up at least the living room and comb her hair a bit before she answered. Zack and the twins were already aware how hard she'd been taking things, but seeing Jess on the other side of the door left her feeling rather embarrassed at how much she'd let things slide.
Hastily, she apologized for the mess, offered everyone a drink, and excused herself to take a much needed shower. After getting dressed, she gave everyone a more proper greeting, and began catching up with everyone, Jess in particular. After a few minutes, she broke out laughing. "I'm sorry, it's just too weird being the only one in the room without any fur. Let me just grab a sweater and we can all head back to the park."

To say Carmen was having second thoughts about this whole thing would be the biggest understatement of her life. Here she was, some sort of anthropomorphic bunny girl, surrounded by rabbit people with no apparent concept of personal space. She'd just had sex with a man, who also happened to be in an exclusive relationship with one of her best friends... who she couldn't even properly catch up with, thanks to a guilty lie... and now she'd lost track of both of them.
She'd been a bit surprised to see Terry just... jump Wally on sight like that. Granted, they hadn't seen each other in weeks, and she wasn't exactly one to talk. Still, she'd hoped that afterwards they'd all wander off somewhere more private, and that she could jump in when Terry and Wendy started talking about the project. Instead, Terry had just sort of wandered off with another male to... hoo boy. Two months was very, very clearly too long for this sort of thing. She wasn't sure how she was even going to manage two days. Meanwhile, Wally had headed off to try and catch up with someone he'd met last time and she was just here with... Roberta, was it?
"I'm sorry, I don't actually speak much Spanish," she said, finding an opening what she assumed was a rapidfire series of welcoming phrases.
"No?" Roberta asked. "Well then! You're just a nervous new rabbit-mama is that it? I know just the thing for this. You come meet Eugene over there, he'll show you to relax all proper in no time. If you got the flexibility, he has this thing, he gets your feet up like this, and those fluffy tips on the ears? You'll love these."
Before she could even object, Carmen found herself being literally shoved by the deceptively strong rabbit girl right into the arms of the male she'd pointed out.

Goldie wobbled a bit as she approached the stand. It had been strangely easy finding a pair of shoes that fit her, but she was entirely too used to running around barefoot, claws tapping the ground with each step. The clothes were a bit stifling too. She hoped she didn't just start panting from the heat.
"Please state your name for the record."
"Goldie Husky."
"Your legal name, please."
"Goldie Husky. I just had it legally changed earlier this week."
This earned her a number of disapproving looks, but no further explanation was asked for, thankfully. As she answered the prosecution's questions, she started to relax. They were all carefully phrased in such a way that she didn't need to delve into her past life at all. Just focused on violent behavior she'd observed, and some of the more disturbing things Max had said to her. She felt rather silly for how nervous she'd been, and almost started to wag her tail when she heard "No further questions." But then the defense walked over, and she saw a nasty grin on Max's face...
