Christopher Harris was a 30 year old business man. His company was a supply company, like purchasing land and using it's materials to sell to other companies to use. It was a simple job, really his job was purchasing the land, all of the work was done by a different branch of the company.
His company had recently purchased a large section of land from a jungle in South America. Everything was all filed and legally done with the local government. The only issue however was that a tribe of natives still lived in that area. The government had arranged a different location for them to move to, the trick would be convincing them to leave. The land had belonged to this tribe for several hundred years, so making them leave would prove a challenge.
Chris was sent as a representative to convince the natives to go to the new location. So he was on his way. He knew it might be hard to convince them but he would do his best. He had dealt with similar things in the past and had done well.
He arrived at the village and found he didn't need a translator, most of the villagers had already been taught English and Spanish along with their native language. They were dressed up in the tribal stereotype, the men wore loin cloths and no shirts, the women wore grass styled skirts and some wore cloth on top to cover up while others didn't. It seemed shirts were just as optional to women here as they are to men everywhere else. Even the children and teens were dressed this way. Most of the village was on the ground in hunts but a few buildings were up in the trees or built into the trees.
He met with the chief and explained the situation and he looked very upset.
"Our tribe has been here for generations, our ancestors lived here, we don't want to leave" the chief explained.
"Well I'm not in control of this, it's just what my company decided" Chris explained.
"Your leaders decided to force my people out?" The chief asked.
"My bosses don't seem to care about people, just money" he said honestly. "It's just my job to inform you to leave, a new location was set up"
The chief then looked like he was thinking. "Well there is a cave in a near area, it holds things your people find valuable, like gold or perhaps diamonds, at the very least silver, I'm not sure" he explained "maybe your leaders could return this land and buy that one instead, we don't use the cave much so we won't mind it"
"If have to see what's in it but maybe I could convince my bosses" Chris said unsure.
"Wonderful, some of our men will take you there in a few hours" the chief said. Chris was satisfied with that and left the hut to get ready. In the mean time the chief talked to a shaman of the tribe. They planned to put a spell on this man to resolve the issue, because after all nothing was in the cave that would interest him.
