“Hey, Jonathan!” Benjamin called to his brother from the hallway.
Jonathan looked up from his copy of Muscleman and shouted back viciously, “What? What do you want now, you little twerp!? I told you to stay out of my roooo..... woof!”
Before his brother could finish his sentence, the altered stats that Benjamin had put into the Chronovac kicked in. And the species stat that once read “HUMAN” changed from that into “CANINE- OLD ENGLISH SHEEPDOG”. Almost at once, thick, shaggy white and dark gray fur began to grow all over Jonathan’s body as his face pushed outward into a muzzle. His body grew smaller, stockier and bear-like. And his new floppy ears bounced off the sides of his muzzled face, causing him some confusion as he started to “remember” that he was his brother’s shaggy friend, Champ.
Benjamin chuckled as his brother, like the character from the Shaggy Dog movies, became a fairly large, male Old English Sheepdog.
The transformation of human to Old English Sheepdog completed itself in less than a minute, and Benjamin was giving his shaggy friend a well deserved rub behind the ears when he heard the front door up downstairs. His parents were home early from work! Thinking quickly, Benjamin pressed a few more buttons on the Chonrovac and ...
“Benjamin!” His mother called from downstairs. “ Has Champ been taken outside for a walk yet?”
He smiles at his Old English Sheepdog friend and pets him affectionately on his shaggy head before answering.
“I was just about to take him out, Mom!” He calls back down to her.
“Okay, sweetie.”
He looks at his now contented and shaggy friend and smiles.
