Lou grinned, as he adjusted his strap. He suddenly felt a lot more confident about today's game. He pulled on the rest of his gear, and booked to the park on his mountain bike. Coach Grisham rolled his eyes, he'd hoped that Lou would miss today's game. Lou was more muscular than Vinnie, but he was just as uncoordinated. Lou's bad plays had cost the team 7 games this season, but who was counting besides the coach. He decided to get Lou off the lists firsts, while the opposing team's pitcher was still warming up. Lou got to bat fifth, which based on the roster meant he'd probably only strike out twice. The coach groaned. He couldn't believe that the Williams popped out, and that the other three had each gotten a run. The bases were loaded with one out and Lou was up. Lou walked up to the plate. Relax he told himself, you can hit the ball. Suddenly, his stance shifted, it was almost like someone else had stepped into his body. The ball soared toward the plate, the bat connected, home run. Lou went on to hit 3 home runs that day. The coach decided he was a better coach than he'd thought. And for some reason, Lou had the feeling that he'd been the MVP at Vinnie's high school. Well, he figured he would be when he was older. Ryan loved a good game, and was starting to feel at home on another jock. Maybe he wouldn't mind being a jockstrap, if he could keep on winning vicariously through Lou. But he really hoped Vinnie would forgive and restore him to his humanity. Until then he'd make the best of it.
