Melissa, age 35, red hair, green eyes, woke up one morning and got dressed for work.
She came down the stairs to the TV room, where her 10-year-old son Tom, and her 8-year-old daughter Sara were watching cartoons.
"Alright you two," she told them "your breakfast is getting cold, and I need to see the news before I go to work."
"Okay mom." Tom said reluctantly, as he got up, and Sara followed him.
Melissa sat down, and flipped through the channels, when she accidentally reached the Latin News instead. She was about to turn the channel, but then she noticed something odd about the weather girl: she was growing a pair of purple donkey ears, and as she turned toward the map, Melissa noticed the woman now sported a purple donkey tail, her hips widened to ridiculous proportions, and as she turned back to face the camera, her face pushed out into a donkey muzzle, her breasts grew to cartoon size, and made all the buttons on the top of her uniform pop off, exposing her cleavage now covered in the thick purple hair covering her body. She now had only three fingers on each hand, and her eyes were now toonishly large with long eyelashes, and although her viewers couldn't see it, her legs were now reverse-jointed ending in hooves. The weather girl was now a toon donkey woman, and she spoke with a sillier-sounding voice, and a big grin on her face. Not that it mattered to Melissa who didn't speak Spanish in the first place, so she couldn't understand her anyway.
"Ugh." Melissa said, rubbing her forehead "These foreign stations will do anything to boost ratings - even fake CGI stuff like this!" but what Melissa failed to realize was that the transformation she had just seen was real, and the rest of the world, herself included, would soon follow. She turned off the TV, and went to check on the kids.
"Your lunches are in the fridge." she told them "Have a good day, and be nice to the others on the bus, and at school."
"We will Mom." Tom said, a bit irritated "What happened to you? You used to be fun - you know - when Dad was still alive. What happened?"
"I don't have time for this." she told him "I'll see you after school."
"If you were a kangaroo, I bet you'd be a lot more fun!" Sara told her with a smile."
"You two watch too much cartoons!" she told her "I have to go. Good-bye."
So Melissa drove off to work.
"Me? A kangaroo?" she thought to herself as she drove "Ridiculous. When will they grow up?" she adjusted herself as she felt a small pressure at the base of her spine. "I'll have to have the doctor look at that later." she thought to herself.
When she got there, she saw what looked like a cartoon beaver man walking on the sidewalk. She dismissed this, thinking either someone had lost a bet, or a team was missing their mascot.
Melissa walked into her office and sat down at her cubical, failing to notice the bump in the back of her skirt getting slowly bigger.
