The rows and rows of alcohol. Somewhat surprising really. It's not that he expected to find the shop, it was more that the state he was in only sold hard liquor through state owned distributors. "How'd they manage that?" muttering, eyeing the prices with some astonishment. Some of the brand were familiar but most weren't. And the prices were unbelievable. Cheap didn't cover the half of it.
"Grandfathered in, dear boy" a deep and jovial voice coming from behind him. Will turned, looking at, what he assumed was the proprietor of the store. Jeans. Button down shirt. Older. Handsome in a vague way. "We've been selling liquor here since the 30's." The man, elaborating. "Oh, we carry some mass market things but what we're really known for is our own house brands." The man, pointing at the filled shelves. "We don't worry about marketing so we can pass the savings onto you."
"I uh....thanks?" Will blinking a few times, looking at the man and back at the shelves. "I guess...I'm..." a sigh, looking at the man, "Look, my girlfriend and I...I love her, you know? But I've not been the best boyfriend. She's there for me but I haven't been there for her like I should've. She's hosting a costume party tonight and I really want it to be special. I was kind of hoping to pick up a costume here..." trailing off.
