First thing was first, the name Rick didn’t quite suit her anymore, but what should she call herself. Soon, the name “Rika” came to her. She looked at herself in the mirror, said the name Rika, and smiled. That was her name now.
Rika spent the next half-hour getting to know the new her. She discovered she could shrink to about a foot in height, which was necessary for her to be able to fly. During her flight, she saw the wilting flowers on the kitchen table. Sadness filled her, but she gestured her hand at the dying blossoms, sending a shower of sparkling dust over them, which caused them to spring back to life.
She flew past the TV in time to see a commercial with a fairy selling paper towels. A good long look at the energetic character made her realize she was indeed still attracted to girls. That reminded her of her girlfriend Carla. Rika wondered if maybe she was transformed, or not.
She returned to ‘human’ size just long enough to open the door and exit her house. She flew out of the porch, making a beeline to Carla’s house.
