You lay together with the man for an unknown amount of time, feeling completely relaxed and fuzzy-headed. The hunger has faded, replaced by a warm satisfaction and contentment to enjoy the faint breeze and hints of sunshine that now slip through the canopy above. He breathes heavily and does not respond or move, sounding for all the world as if he had fallen asleep. You close your eyes and join him, waiting...waiting...
Your eyes open. Hours have passed, the sun is gone and night has come. Moonlight filters through the trees, casting cascading shapes of light and dark across the forest floor. You do not know why, but you can see unusually well in the dark - perhaps a gift of the form you have been blessed with - and you can instantly tell that some change has come over you both. Your fur feels rougher and more wild to the touch, sticking out in spiky clumps; beneath that, the occasional leaf or tendril-like vine spreads out, moving slightly as if of its own accord. Your would-be saviour has also changed - even in this darkness you can see his skin has taken on a darker, green-brown tone and his hair and beard now resemble a mottled mass of vines, leaves and scruffy, fur-like hair.
You try to roll away from him, but are surprised to find that you cannot go far. Roots have sprung from your legs and now burrow deep into the ground; now that you realize their presence, you realize that you can feel the ground beneath you, around you, pressing on your roots with a gentle, moist caress. The stimulation is exhilarating and you nearly collapse in happiness, only recovering your balance at the last moment. You are becoming one with the earth and the woods.
