On making their way through the park, Megan and Stewie found a neighborhood that they had never seen before, which was weird considering that it was so close to their house. Stewie recognized the houses as all being in a mid-century style from the fifties, so he guessed it must have been built back then, and got further evidence of that from the fact that the houses were all completely identical. They were all neatly constructed and generally boxy in shape, painted off-white with dark shingled, gabled roofs, with a garage attached and a driveway, and white picket fences sectioning off their green front lawns. Stewie frowned. He was getting the wrong vibe from this new neighborhood, and he felt creeped out from all the houses being the same...
Well, almost the same. Most of the houses were dark, but one had its lights on, so of course Megan bolted towards that one. Despite his misgivings, Stewie knew better than to try and stop her, and he figured that if she let off some steam by trick-or-treating at this one house they would be able to leave the creepy neighborhood sooner than if he made a whole big thing of it. So he followed his sister toward the one house that was only set apart from its copies by being lit, still uneasy. He noticed that there was a fifties-style station wagon with fins in the driveway, the kind that you only saw on TV or in museums or car shows. Nobody drove those anymore... and yet, glancing around the neighborhood, Stewie could see that all the driveways had similar cars, and that even though all the cars were old-fashioned they all seemed to be in good shape. In all this, he had gotten distracted from his sister, and his attention was only called back to her by the sound of her yelling, "TRICK OR TREAT!" and banging on the doorbell. He rushed after her and arrived at the door just as it opened.
On the other side of the door were a fairly tall, dark-haired, middle-aged man in glasses and a shorter, slightly younger blonde woman. Stewie had to give the couple credit--their costumes fit the architecture. They were both wearing things right out of the fifties. The husband (he assumed they were married) was wearing a suit and tie like the sort he saw in Mad Men and even had a pipe, and the wife was wearing a pastel-colored dress, an apron, and even had her hair done up in a beehive. Strangely, they ignored Megan, who had her bag outstretched expectantly and was waiting to have it filled with candy, and instead stared straight at Stewie. Now he was definitely creeped out, and after a few moments of the staring tried to say, "Uh, my sister--"
The man cut him off. "We're so glad you're here." The woman added, "Now you can join the family." They both seemed to flicker and for a moment it seemed like he could see right through them, and before Stewie could ask what the hell was going on they suddenly grabbed him and pulled him into the house. They were strangely strong for a middle-aged couple, but it also felt sort of like their hands were going straight through him, and Stewie felt a strange tingling sensation that spread through his body.
