Reappearing right where you left, the girls once again rush to you. Rather friendly lot them, aren't they. They're all quite concerned about your eye, naturally, insisting on bringing you too the nearest hospital to have it looked at. Quickly, you explain that Grendy did this out of a combination of concern and impatience, and further that she watches your every move when sending you out like this. Immediately, you find yourself staring at several sets of crossed arms, as the entire collective starts shouting at the sky on your behalf.
"Hey! What sort of a terrible person are you anyway?"
"Burning your own assistant's eye out!? And we'd already agreed to help her!"
"If this is how you treat people, we're just going to go tell everyone we can how horrible you are, and you'll never find a volunteer!"
"And we're taking your poor abused assistant here with us! It'll be worth dealing with all those gross guy memories in the mix to know you can't hurt her anymore!"
Franticly, you start calling for them to stop. Much as there is to fear from Grendy, the worst she could do is leave you to the mercy of this lot. Everything else that crazy lizard has put you through, at least she hasn't done anything that destroyed your very sense of idenity. Well, except for when she first sent you down to this planet, but that was clearly an accident. You just don't want to find yourself waxing nostalgic about crushes on pimply faced teen boys or something here. Eventually, you make your position sufficiently clear.
"OK, OK... but at the very least, you're going to fix her eye, apologize, and let us take her out to a party tonight!"
"And when you're done with gathering all these people you are going to take her back to find that big green hunk again!"
"You can't go tearing apart true love like that!"
"And get her some ice cream!"
Before they can continue adding to the list, you're back about the ship again. It's starting to get a bit smokey with all the back and forth here, but as it clears, you face a very annoyed looking Grendy.
"Oh, I see how it is! You spend just a few minutes as part of a hive mind and all of the sudden you're making union demands, huh? Well fine! I'm sorry! But no partying! We're already behind schedule on this stop... you can have ONE wine cooler if you chug it!"
You start to apologize and explain things to her but she immediately cuts you off.
"And another thing! I was ALREADY going to treat everyone to icecream before returning to my home planet as a reward for such an efficient trip! Now don't you feel selfish for ruining the surprise!"
And back to the planet. Oh good, her eye looks just fine now. She probably just used the old pattern again. Was she really sorry? She doesn't seem to have much in the way of respect for you and she's always yanking you around like a rag doll, but she did rescue you from pirates. Or, from being stranded, anyway. Well, she cruelly tore you away from that dreamy hunk you were going to spend the rest of your life with and have like a million perfect little green babies! But she did agree to send you back to him when you're done, so you might as well all head over and find the Alpha Delta Omegas. You pull one of your phones out of one of your purses and make a few calls. Turns out they're having a house party tonight, and it isn't too far to walk! Great! You wonder if you have time to fix your hair and makeup first, but taking a quick huddle you all look fine.
Once inside, you're a little surprised. You'd forgotten how totally hot some of these guys are! Have they been working out? Anyway, you are in kind of a hurry, so you grab a couple trays of drinks and pull them aside to explain things as best you can. It is pretty distracting though, being right here in their room with them and all. You have a few of your drinks to settle your nerves, and somehow or other you end up making out with half of them while the rest of you talk. They really dig your new addition too, so that's a plus. You give them some long kisses goodbye, finish your drinks, and suddenly you're back on the ship once again.
Blushing profusely, you ask to be put down, adjust your toga and give the blond one back the gum that somehow made it into your mouth. Grendy just rolls her eyes while punching in the next set of coordinates. The guy from the plant planet has the presence of mind to tell the collective to brace themselves for a change. Before teleporting you down, she stops and addresses you with an alarmingly out of character tone. "OK, I know it's been a crazy day, but this is the last stop before we drop all these guys off. Now, I'm going to warn you, this planet is awful. If I hadn't come up with this crazy teleporter mod plan, I was just going to skip this one, so... sorry in advance!"
You brace yourself for the worst as the ship's interior vanishes in the usual cloud of smoke.
