Nate slowly slipped off his jacket, tossing it onto the seat next to him. No sense letting that get ruined in this whole thing. A quiet popping noise could be heard as Nate felt his feet grow and expand into digitigrade paws. He quietly pleaded with himself to stop transforming. They were pleads that went unanswered. This was going to keep happening. No turning back now.
"Mom, Dad, there's something I need to tell you."
"Sure honey, what is it?" replied his mother.
"I'm a werewolf. I transformed last night and I am again right now." replied Nate, blurting it all out.
"Oh don't be ridicul-" Nate's Mom turned around and saw her transforming son and let out a gasp. "Oh my god."
"Sorry," growled Nate. The sounds of tearing fabric filled the car as the transformation continued. Nate's Dad looked in the rearview mirror and quickly pulled the car over so he could get a better look.
"How did this happen?" exclaimed his Dad.
"I wished for it last night and it just happened." growled Nate, his voice deeper.
"Why would you wish to be a werewolf?!" exclaimed his Mom.
"Because I thought it'd be cool!" replied Nate. He chest and back began expanding outwards, ripping apart his shirt, revealing his fur covered skin underneath. Both his parents watched in shock and awe as their son transformed from human to monster. "I'll be okay. Don't be afraid."
The nodded and watched as the last changes overtook him, as his face pushed out into a lupine snout. They couldn't believe their eyes. Under the light of the full moon, their son had turned into a werewolf. Nate's Dad slowly turned back around and put the car in gear, driving towards home. All three of them were silent all the way home. There would be much to discuss in the morning though, for sure.
