"Yeah, I did." A middle-aged man grinned and waved. "Or at least, I'll take it since I am hungry."
The newly-made pizza boy shrugged and carried the pizza over to the older man, who gave him a twenty. "Keep the change, kid. You earned it."
"Thanks, Dude!" The pizza boy grinned, while Madame Illusia frowned. "That messes up my object lesson. He is not supposed to be happy with his fate."
The older man replied "You took away his adolescence and gave him a pretty dismal future. One good tip is not much compensation."
"I suppose not." Madame Illusia smiled thinly. "But it is more than he deserved. So I'll make him split it with his twin brother."
Both the boy and the man looked puzzled. Then realization dawned on the man's face. "Hey! Wait a min..." But it was already too late. He got thinner and shorter, his clothing becoming a matching pizza delivery uniform, and his face a perfect match to the original boy's. The identical twins looked at each other and then high-fived, saying "Dude!" at the same time. Madame Illusia looked frustrated as they turned and left together, blissfully ignorant. "That did not go as planned."
