Kelsey’s mother had come home and saw the changes to her daughter, and her son covered in confetti from his sister’s sneeze. She loved her daughter and accepted her changes, but she needed to know if she was going to have two special needs children in her life and the next day took Patrick to the doctor. She was relieved to find out that Patrick was absolutely free of the clown gene, and would remain himself for the rest of his life. She took no chances and had him tested multiple times at multiple doctors and breathed a sigh of relief when all of the doctors told her that Patrick would absolutely never ever show symptoms of turning into a clown because he was 100% clown gene free. Kelsey’s mother was thankful for this as she could now concentrate on her daughter’s continuing changes.
The changes had been much slower over the last few days then the initial ones. Kelsey still had the biggest feet, and biggest, roundest nose in the world, things she absolutely delighted in. She would stare at her new wondrous nose for hours in the mirror, a little thankful that she had grown nostrils out of the side of her tennis ball sized nose, “So much easier to breathe,” she mused as her big pink lips stretched her mouth and pink muzzle into a big smile, a smile that was bigger than should have even been possible on her beautiful face. She practically jumped for joy when rosy blush and blue eye shadow faded in on her face, making her look permanently made up.
It was the end of the week, and her mother and brother woke Kelsey from her sleep as they returned home from Patrick’s final doctor’s visit to confirm he was clown gene free. She smacked her lips as she woke up and rubbed the sleep from her face when she noticed that her hands were different, they felt different, in fact they felt huge! Kelsey was jolted awake immediately by this discovery, as she looked her hands over. They had inflated to almost three times their original size and her ring and little finger were now one and the same. Each of her fingers was wider around than a German sausage, and she flexed them marveling at their size. She grabbed her phone and took a picture of them before posting them to Instagram with a caption that read, “You know what they same about a clown with big hands!” She had suffered no loss of dexterity and easily worked around her new bigger size with relative ease.
Kelsey hooted and hollered as she measured her finger size and discovered that she was once again breaking world clown records. “I’m gonna be the biggest, funniest clown ever!” she squealed, sneezing confetti everywhere in celebration.
“Kelsey are you okay in there?” her mother said from the other side of the door. Kelsey threw it open and saw her mother and brother looking concerned.
“Oh yeah, mom, oh yeah!” she smiled reassuringly as she waved her gigantic hands in front of her. Her mother’s jaw dropped, and her brother’s eyes lit up. Want to arm wrestle squirt?” she teased her brother, as she flexed her big digits in front of his face.
“No way,” he shook his head, desperate to avoid that idea.
“I think I may have to start getting some custom clothes,” Kelsey told her mother as she wiggled her hands and feet.
“I think so,” her mother gulped.
“This is so awesome,” Kelsey remarked as she picked up some nail polish bottles and started juggling them. “I’m gonna need to redo my nails, but which color?” she mused as she watched the bottles fly up and down in front of her.
“When did you learn to juggle?” Patrick asked his sister.
“I don’t know,” she admitted perplexed as she let the bottles hit her on the head and bounce into her waiting mitts.
“Kelsey,” her mother began to ask slowly, as if she was trying to figure something out, “Did you put light pink streaks into your hair?”
“No,” Kelsey answered as her clown smile grew wider yet again.
