Katie stood there a moment almost not believing her own eyes. In moments she had taken her mother from the slovenly and drunk young woman to a teenager and back through childhood to her own former age of seven years old. It had happened quickly, painlessly, in just minutes. Her mother was now unrecognizable, save for old, old pictures she'd seen of her. Sure she knew the girl, but even so...this was her own mother, now transformed into a child, into her own little sister. No one remembered anything otherwise, except for her. Gazing at the little girl, even after all she'd seen Katie couldn't believe it. This was the woman who brought her into this world, who'd fed and clothed her all these years. Now she had the angelic face of a second grader wearing clothes far, far beyond her size.
"Kellie?" The little girl blinked up at her with tired young eyes as she ventured her name.
"What? I wanted to come down and sleep over too!" She groaned, a whining tone. "I even gots grown up clothes."
"So her memories were changed for that at least," Katie thought.
"Its way past your bedtime kiddo." She said, instinctively memories implanted them in her, an almost maternal instinct. "We need to get you to sleep."
"But I dont want to go to sleep!" Kellie screamed, stomping her foot. "I wanna stay up and be with the big girls! I wanna see movies and stuff! You never let me have fun!"
Katie internally groaned as Kellie's voice grew higher and higher. She heard one of the girls call out from the other room, "Everything ok in there Katie?"
Katie answered, "YEah just my bratty..." She stopped. "Sister.." She had indeed made that wish. IF her mother was going to act like a brat, she'd be her age to do so. "Crap, I guess I shouldn't have worded it that way." Katie thought. "Well I can fix that in a hurry" With that she concentrated on the ring.
