After making out with his secret crush, now his boyfriend, Jake decided to use the Chronivac program again. This thing was amazing. He could change anyone he wanted. He momentarily thought about changing Jim again, but was distracted by a noise out the window. Looking out Jim's bedroom window, he saw his neighbor Tom Woods across the street getting his mail. Upon seeing him, Jake's stomach turned in a knot. Ever since moving into this neighborhood, that man has made it a mission to ruin Jake's life. Tom Woods was relentlessly homophobic and, well, he just hated the man so much. (Little did Jake know, however, was that before he was changed by the Chronivac, Tom was his best friend and they never had a problem with each other, but that's what happens when reality gets changed.)
"Uh, how do I put new names into this thing?" Jake asked.
Jim pointed at the portable emitter. "Just take that, honey," he said.
"Oh, thanks." He picked it up and pointed it out the window, aiming it at Tom and pulling the trigger. But nothing happened. On the emitter's display, it said that there were no targets in range. "What's the range on this thing?"
"I think it's 20 feet, sweetie."
"Stay here," Jake said. He ran out of the room, then out of the house. Tom was still at his mailbox. Being on the other side of the street, he was sure he was close enough to use the emitter now. He aimed it at Tom, then activated it. This time it worked. He started to laugh, thinking about all the things he could do to that jerk.
Tom turned around, hearing the laugh, then glared at Jake, before turning around and heading back to his house, muttering under his breath "Stupid fag."
"Time to fix you," Jake uttered, then headed back to Jim's bedroom. Once he was back, he browsed at the stats for his neighbor on the screen, wondering what he should change:

Jake didn't look at the whole list, as he was only really interested in a couple of things. One, Tom's sexual orientation, and two, the guy's hobbies. But then again, if he had the chance to change everything about the guy, maybe he should.
