"Lena! What have you done?" My trance was broken with the plate and I ran to her side standing between her and the Djinn. "She didnt mean it. You aren't stupid, oh great one, Please forgive her. Punish me if you must punish someone, but spare her! Please!"
"Indeed, A payment must be made." The genie was looking past me directly at Lena... actually moreso through me. He was calm and had a slight smile. The genie stepped forward not wavering in his glare. I stepped back but fell hitting the recliner on my way down and somehow landed at Lena's feet.
She giggled, leaned forward and tossled my hair like I was a wayward puppy. "Be still, its all done, we've discussed it."
"What? What's done? What have you discussed?" I asked throughly confused. "Did I hit my head? Pass-out?" Looking at the Genie "Dont hurt her, I don't care what deals you've made, take me instead!"
Lena rolled her eyes and sighed, looking at the Genie, "He is very sweet."
"And slow." added the Djinn.
"and poor." Lena added looking around.
"He does seem to have the goal of protecting you." the djinn commented suddenly glowing with electricity.
"Only because its here and now, nothing long term, and do you think he actually ever bothered learning how to fight? I doubt it." Lena said absently.
Lena's calm acceptance of her fate was too much for me to bear. Clearly she was distracting herself from the situation by discussing me.... So I jumped up and charged the Djinn. The electric aura he posessed can also be used defensively because the last thing I remember was flying backwards in the air...
