The scenery that Jenny and Clemens enjoyed was pristine and both enjoyed their time in the park. There was plenty of things to do, though they also knew the park was big enough that they'd never be able to see it all. There were somethings that stuck in the back of their minds, but they were on vacation and there was no rush at present to make any decision. Clemens could easily live with that. His decision to become an Animal Person was his own, and he didn't want Jenny to become an Animal Person in haste because he was an Animal Person. He'd like it if she did make that choice, but he would also support any choice she made, regardless of what it was. It was, after all, her choice.
"I'm glad we came up here," Jenny commented as they sat around a small campfire while chewing some marshmallows that they had packed, "It's calm and pretty... and you got see your friends up here."
Clemens nodded in agreement. It had been fun, and Glacier National Park had plenty of sights that were beautiful. It wasn't that Florida didn't have natural beauty, but it was a different beauty. Florida's greatest national park was the Everglades with its swamps and marshes, and when properly protected, Alligators. Places like Glacier had different sights, mountains, great pine, spruce, and fir forests and different animals. He then lifted a campfire fork and blew on the hot dog he had been cooking. It wasn't the fanciest of meals, but that was what made camping fun. It'd actually make fun honeymoon when they got to it.
"Yesss, it wass good to ssssee Jossseph and the Waynesss," Clemens nodded in agreement, "And now a tasste of what our honeymoon will be."
Jenny nodded at the idea of travelling the country in an RV. They might get to see a good many of major National Parks and attractions. Part of her even had the idea hoping to see wildlife. It was, after all why people came to the national parks. They'd even seen a fair number of them already on the trip. They'd gotten one guided hike that took them up one of the mountains in the park to a point where they could look into an adjoining valley which had been practically filled with Mountain Goats and their woolly white fur blowing in the breeze. They even got a photo of the two of them pointing toward the animals they could see in the distance.
"If it goes like this, it will be fun," Jenny nodded, "A shame we couldn't go swimming while we were here."
"No, the water here issss far too cold," Clemens answered, "I could see that."
"See?" Jenny wondered.
Clemens reached up and pointed to the region along the lips of his muzzle.
"My pitsss," Clemens answered, "Allowing me to senssse and ssee body heat."
"You can see in infrared? Jenny giggled and then whistled the James Bond theme from Goldfinger.
"It isssn't quite like that," Clemens answered, "and in termssss of ssight, the range is limited."
Jenny stood up and moved her chair closer to Clemens' chair. There was a lot that she did know about Clemens' form, though much of it related to the strength in his tail, and living with him had allowed her to learn quite a lot. The greatest troubles Clemens had was when he had to shed his skin, but it wasn't as bad as with mundane snakes, from what Clemens told her. He could easily use his hands to actually peal away the old layer and reveal the new layer underneath. Jenny actually found Clemens to be rather handsome after he'd shed his skin, as the new scales were bright and actually seemed to glisten in the light. A lot of it raised a great deal of her curiosity and she then learned a lot from him.
"So how do you tell what is warm and what is cold?" Jenny asked.
"The warmer sssomething isss the ssharper and clearer the image iss," Clemens explained, "thingsss that are warm are in high definition, if you will."
"You didn't lose any vision, did you?" Jenny wondered.
"No," Clemens answered, "Ssso far, according to the newss, that those that become animals that normally do not sssee well retain the sstrength of visssion they had as humanss. For me, it meanss that my vission getss better the warmer it iss."
And do I still look good to you?" Jenny asked.
"In beautiful high definition," Clemens gave a joke, making Jenny laugh in response.
They sat quietly for a few moments before a different question came to Jenny's mind.
"Say... you won't be having a wild bachelor party when you have it, will you?" Jenny asked.
"Probably not," Clemens commented, "Josseph isn't a 'wild man' and I'd tend to think that being 'wild' doesn't make things better." Bessides, I think George was joking. From what I've heard from Joseph, he and Molly didn't have a bachelor or bachelorette party at all."
Jenny shrugged and began to toast another marshmallow in the flames.
"What about you?" Clemens then asked, "are you and your friendss going to have a wild party?"
"Maybe," Jenny gave a playful smirk, "One of the girls from the office said something about making prank phone calls..."
Clemens only gave a chuckle. Prank phone calls was an odd idea for a party, but he wouldn't call it 'wild.' At least, not while the prank was somewhat innocent.
"I might have to talk Jossseph into ssomething wild then..." Clemens smirked back.
Jenny only laughed, "And then we'll all have fun."
