Patrick stares at the clown nose before knocking it out of her hand and pushing her down. He turns and starts to run the fear helping him run faster but he doesn’t get far before he comes to a skidding stop. Stepping around a fence is a auguste clown lead by dog leash moving around on its own. When Patrick slid to a stop the collar turned to him and he heard a small dogs happy barks. Patrick stares dumbly at what must be a invisible dog, a classic clown gag, the hilarity of it pushing aside his fear for a moment.
"Ah, Patrick. Waggles and I wanted to thank you for helping us become sillier." The clown reaches out for him, beaming as Patrick fells tiny paws on his leg. Patrick looks down and sees the collar next to his leg and hears the happy barks and jumps back. With all the adrenaline pumping through his system Patrick does not notice the tingling spreading through his body. Patrick backs away quickly and runs into someone else and he fells his stomach drop as arms encircle him.
"Patrick, honey what is wrong?" Patrick's mom’s voice fills his ears and he closes his eyes and breathes a sigh of relief that he is in her warm embrace. Patrick thought now that his mom was here she could help him out and he turned to start to explain, missing her colorful clothing. Turning around he nearly shits his pants as he sees a bright clown standing behind him.
"Honey, it's ok. I found your clown nose and it made me silly. *giggle* I love it." He looks at his mom and starts to cry. Backing away he trips and falls flat on his ass. Looking down at his feet he watches as the start to grow and he finally fells the too familiar tingling running around his body.
"Sweetie, you’ve wanted to be a clown your entire life and now is your chance." she says as she kneels beside him wiping away his tears
"We can all go to clown city and have soo much fun." Mary says as she walks over to his side. Patrick feels a small wet tongue licking his white hand and looks down to see a dog collar next to him.
"We want to give you the same gift you gave us." The man says as he shuffled up to his other side. Patrick looking around realized he was surrounded and had nowhere to run and no one to go to for help. This is what he always wanted but the fear would not let him give in as tears still streamed from his eyes. Patrick felt his hair grow longer and start to curl around his ears tickling him. He couldn't help it and smiled at the tickling and felt his lips plump up and his smile grow bigger. He tried to stop smiling but couldn't as his stomach start to grow to a chubby ball. Patrick was scared but felt the euphoric rush flow through him and as the silly feeling started, he fought them with all his might. He let out a laugh and he covered his mouth trying to stop more but they kept coming. He noticed that his clothes had changed to a bright yellow shirt and green pants; his feet were no longer in his black sneakers but large shiny red shoes. With a pop he now had a smudge of red at the bottom of his vision and his hand found his new nose and without think squeezed it. A HONK echoed through the alley as Patrick felt a happiness fill him, he really was a clown now and so was his Mom and Mary. His mom helped him up and dusted him off with an oversized brush she pulled from behind her back.
"You look so funny." She said as she gave him a big hug
Patrick turned and hugged Mary who in return gave him a big kiss, their clown noses rubbing. Mary kept a hold of Patrick's hand as his mom took the other and with Waggles leading the way they started off in to their new silly life.
