"Two the same," replied Carrie. "-Very- the same."
John looked over and quickly realized what Carrie meant was the extra emphasis. Carrie had always had a big interest in equines, so it was no surprise that she immediately gravitated towards the only horse costume the shop seemed to have; a non-anthropomorphic one built for two people. John was less than impressed with the choice.
"It looks... cheap," John said tentatively, trying to find a gentle excuse while Carrie admired the costume. "It's got no color or texture. I can't even tell if it's meant to be for a male or female."
"It changes to suit the wearer in front," said the assistant, who couldn't help but eavesdrop. "The only problem is, who is that going to be?"

"Exactly! I -want- to wear it," called back Carrie. "If anyone should get the front-"
"Ahem," coughed the assistant. "That kind of argument is unsurprisingly common. The store suggests flipping for it."
John and Carrie gave each other another glance, quickly foreseeing the problem of one of them having to pick 'tails' for the flip. But the assistant simply reached behind the counter and pulled out a blank bronze disk the size of a drink coaster.
"We even got this coin to help settle things," said the assistant, tossing it over to the John, since Carrie was holding the costume. As John caught the over-sized penny, he felt a tiny static shock on his palm. Even as he watched, an image started to appear on the side of the coin facing him; a stylized version of his own face. Turning the coin over, he predictably saw a similarly cartoony rendering of Carrie.
"Now you both get to pick 'heads,'" explained the assistant, as John held out the coin for Carrie to see.
"It definitely works," remarked Carrie, examining the faces of the coin for a few seconds before putting it on top of her thumb. "Here goes!" she called out as her thumb soared up to send the coin spiraling into the air...
