"Aww jeeze. She peed all over my boobs." Arn groaned.
"She can't help it, can you dear?" i ask the baby who seems to quite tuckered out from her little tantrum., "Here, I'll hold her for a sec while you get out of that wet tunic."
"Okay, but you better not turn around Andrew!" Maedel shouts.
"Why? saving it for the wedding night?" I joke, which makes Maedel's tanned cheeks read as she gets flustered.
"How did you know we were going to...?" she starts saying and I gasp.
"I was joking but you're getting married? i just thought you were fooling around when we caught you kissing! How long have you been a couple?" I begin. Even baby Sara looks shocked at the news.
"Lets just talk about it later ok. For now lets try to figure this thing out. Babies don't just drop from the sky every day y'know." she tries to change the subject and I meekly agee, feeling a little disappointed that my best friend didn't tell me anything.
"Well, this thing looks really weird and brand new." Andrew offers, lifting the strange metal object that fell with the baby and dog.
"Whats the story with this stupid dog? Why won't you shut up, little brat?" Connie says to the yapping dog, still feeling grump about being hit on the head and not knowing the little thing is her future self. The dog turns to her and begins yapping right at her.
"Hey, I think you offended it! It must be a person who got transformed," my brother said which made the doggy run up, tail wagging and bark at him instead. By now she'd realized she'd become a dog and was incredibly annoyed no-one had been paying attention to her plight. At least as a pig she'd some how managed to speak.
"Now that is surprising. Andrew just had two intelligent thoughts!" the topless Arn joked. She held her arms to me out expectantly. "Come on. Pass her here."
"You've already held her!" I say petulantly, "Its my turn,"
"I wish I could hold the baby," the present Connie moped, "could I at least see her? I can't see anything down here."
"she's mine Sara! i found her so I should take care of her," Maedel pouted looking like a hungry kitten or puppy dog but she wasn't as cute as the baby.
"Hmph! She's NOT a toy Maedel," I say but notice the baby seemed to be reaching toward Maedel, opening and closing her little fingers obviously wanting Maedel to hold her.
In reality, baby Sara was feeling a little creeped out as well as unsafe and scared by being held by her younger, weaker self who had not learned to fight yet. Maedel would be much more capable of protecting her. I reluctantly yielded, feeling a little rejected and passed the baby over to Maedel who sat down next to piggy Connie to give her a look at the cutie.
"Wheee!" she squealed excitedly, "she's adorable. What are you going to name her?"
"Well she probably has a name..."
"Oh how about Hazel!" I say excitedly. I'd always loved that name.
"She doesn't even have brown hair!" Maedel objected.
"She doesn't have any hair," Andrew opined, he was totally wrong. She had little sprinkling of blonde hair.
"Hazel IS a nice name!" Connie shook her snout up and down in agreement looking pretty funny.
"Ugh two against one I suppose we'll call her Hazel." Maedel sighed.
The baby smiles a big gummy smile and giggles, happy with the name. She was me afterall.
"Oh she likes it!" Me and Connie squeak!
"So, I'm thinking they time traveled from the future," Andrew changed the subject, having somehow connecting the big gun to the future and little Sara's regression from an adult to time travel gone wrong.
"That's ridiculous, Andrew!" I rolled my eyes at my idiot brother, not knowing how wrong I was.
