As Luke was walking a beam of light caught his eye. He turned towards it and walked over to it to get a better look. A metal medallion was brightly reflecting the sun, and as Luke picked it up he got a better look at it. The thing was ancient with some kind of Asian design. Thinking a Japanese friend of his, Dave, would get a kick out of it, Luke decided to pay him a visit and show him the medallion.
Once at Dave's door, Dave happily greeted Luke and started showing him around his place. It was the first time Luke had been in Dave's house, and he immediately noticed the many traditional decorations around the house.
"I didn't know you were so prideful of your culture", Luke commented.
"Hey, you know me. I'm all American.", Dave responded, "but my parents carry a lot of our family history".
As the two walked through Dave's house, Luke noticed a certain shrine in an odd corner of the house. Hung up on the wall were two mawashi, and below them were an assortment of other sumo accessories.
"What's that?", Luke pointed to the shrine.
"Another part of my family history", Dave explained, "One of my ancestors way back was a legendary sumo wrestler in Japan. That's his mawashi on the right".
"Mawashi?" Luke asked.
"The underwear looking thing". Dave and Luke chuckled. "And on the left is the mawashi of his rival. The two had this big fight, and my ancestor won. My family was super prideful about it so they kept both as a sign of my ancestor's victory and his rival's defeat".
"That's one hand-me-down that won't fit the family any more!" Luke laughed.
"Shut up, Man" Dave chucked, "Hey, I'm gonna take a leak, be back soon". Dave went off to his restroom, leaving Luke alone with the shrine. Luke then laughed as a thought came to his mind.
"Might as well show him how good this medallion looks with some appropriate clothing". While wearing the medallion, Luke took the mawashi of Dave's ancestor's rival and put it on...
