Suddenly, the door to Nate's condo flew open. Both Zemelda and Nate jumped, startled by the unexpected activity and turned to the door. In walked a thin, silver haired old woman who Nate immediately recognized as his neighbor, Nora.
"Back off, wench! That boy is mine!" She announced.
"Nora?" Nate was now exceptionally confused.
"Yes, Nate, I too am a witch" Nora walked towards Zemelda, the door closing on it's own behind her. "And I lay claim to this boy."
"Lay claim? Wait, I am not a piece of meat here..." started Nate.
Nora turned to Nate. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to suggest I owned you or anything, just that you and I were friends."
"Oh." Nate was taken aback, surprised Nora thought so much of him. "Wait, so what is going on here?"
"Well, I had come here to turn Nate into some sort of beast, like he'd written about!" announced Zemelda.
"You're too late. I was already preparing to turn him into a werewolf tonight, under the light of the full moon," replied Nora.
"Really?" asked Nate, beaming.
"Of course." Nora gave him a smile and a wink.
"Oh, I think we can be a little more original than that."
"What's wrong with making him a werewolf? I think he'd make a fine one."
"Thank you," replied Nate.
"I was just thinking something a little more original, like a Centaur or a Satyr or a Minotaur..."
Nate and Nora both raised an eyebrow at those suggestions.
"I must admit those are interesting too." Nate rubbed his chin.
Nora and Zemelda looked at each other.
"I suppose we could both transform him," conceded Nora. "Pick your form and we will transform you. But pick fast or else your fate as a lycanthrope will be sealed."
"Wait, what?" exclaimed Nate.
"I already cast the spell. When the moon rises tonight, you will turn into a werewolf and once that spell takes effect, you will change every full moon, the night prior and night after, unless I stop it now."
"Oh boy," muttered Nate. On one hand, he'd always wanted to be a werewolf. On the other though, he'd also wanted to experience being a Satyr, Centaur or Minotaur. And now he was presented with all those options. He looked outside, seeing it getting darker out. He took a deep breath and made up his mind. "I choose..."
