Katie was astonished at the power of the ring. Over the last couple of days Katie had altered several peoples ages and had altered reality. Only Katie had any memory of the reality as it should be. What Katie couldn't believe was how new memories had filtered into her mind making it difficult to tell which was which. The power was intoxicating and Katie now thought of what to do next.
The rest of the day went smoothly for the group. They enjoyed laying on the beach soaking up the late spring sun before deciding to grab some dinner and go out. Katie had so much fun dancing, flirting and drinking with her new group of friends that she hoped it would never end. Unfortunately Katie became sick around 11 forcing the girls to decide to depart. Katie was sorry to see them go, but she decided to let them keep their new young lives, somehow knowing that the ring had provided all they needed for it.
Stumbling back to the car, Katie felt the wonderful sensation of being buzzed for the first time. It was just enough to feel the elation but she was too inexperienced to know that it was impairing her judgement. Watching Kellie get out her keys, she noticed her mother wasn't quite as drunk as she should be.
"What are you doing kelly? I can drive."
"Nonsense Katie, I will. I saw how much fun you were having so I didn't drink as much. Get in."
Katie started to speak but lurched to one side and puked her guts out. After that she was in no mood to argue as they drove back to the house. As they entered, Katie felt very weird and a little jealous. This was still her responsible mother, she wouldn't let her have any real fun. .
"Well, I can fix that." She thought, as Kellie helped her inside. "I wish Kellie was 12 years old in body and mind and thought she was my little sister."
