My name is Adrian Phillips. In the past I have visited foreign countries to remote lands to immerse myself in many unique cultures, both modern and primitive. I’ve worked among them, sampled their diet, joined in their rituals, and lived as they live; but none before have compared to that which I have been given the blessing to join today as I show you the reality of the fantasy.
It was one year ago, today that the event, which has become known as “The Reunion” where the world of fantasy and magic, once separated from our own, had become linked with ours again. Unfortunately, many among the myriad of beings that had come out of the mists of legend to mingle with us have been met with suspicion, fear and alas, even violence. It is my opinion that these tragic occurrences are the result of superstition, misinformation and ignorance and I’ve set out to show people the reality behind what was once make-believe and separate fact from fiction.
As such, I have offered the leaders of these newly discovered races my services in documenting their day-to-day lives in the hopes of showing people that, no matter how different we may seem, we still share much in common. To show them my intentions were pure, I sent examples of my previous works to them; one of them responded. However, the interested party had a stipulation of the agreement.
