"Katie! Wake up! Its time for school."
Katie rolled over in her bed, hugging her pillow around her head. There was a gentle nudge as Kellie shook her. "Come on Katie, time to go! You had a nice long weekend! You cant skip out on class!"
It took Katie a moment to process, but slowly the reality and the memories flooded her mind. That was right, she wasn't a pre-kindergartener anymore, she was a fourth grader. She had the knowledge of three and a half years of school, even though she hadn't really been there. Groaning she got up and hung her legs over the bed. At first she was tempted to use the ring to get out of it again, but then the curiosity of the idea hit her.
"What would fourth grade really be like?" She decided to try it out. Getting up she had to wait for Mary to finish showering. She waited, tapping her foot, not used to being the second person in the house to use the shower. When mary finally got out, Katie glanced at her. "Took you a while."
"Sorry katie! Oh! And we're out of hot water!"
Katie grumbled. Being a sister was harder than she thought. Getting undressed she gazed at her young body in the mirror. It was hard to believe she had gone through so many changes. Taking a very quick and cold shower, she got dressed and went down for breakfast. Before long she was out the door with Mary and they were meeting up with Sammy and Jacob.
