“These look sorta cute.” Amy said, picking up one of the fairy wands. “Plus, they’re half the price of the other ones.”
“I guess they are.” Lina agreed, picking one up for herself. “Yeah, I definitely want one of these, too. It might look good on my dresser.”
The girls take the wands to the counter rousing the old man from his slumber. The wizardly cashier asks, “So, you’ve decided on the fairy wands? Those are the finest gold and silver plated mythril wands, a wise choice for ladies such as yourselves.”
“Mythril… right.” Lina said with a tone of skepticism.”
“So, the sign said it’s half off.” Amy said.
“Yes, twenty dollars each.” The bearded clerk answered. Amy and Lina promptly paid the man.
“Do you have any stands or display cases for these?” Lina asked. I’d rather they not get lost.
“That won’t be necessary. Fairy wands have a way of finding their rightful owners when they need them.”
“Well, whatever.” Lina said. “C’mon Amy.” And the two girls left the store.
“What do you suppose that man meant?” Amy asked.
“Ah, probably just some flowery speech to sell the atmosphere of the store, or something. C’mon, let’s get to your house already; I’ve been waiting for this sleepover for weeks.”
