Todd Simons was 18. He had just moved out of his parents' house, and into his own apartment. Except for the landlady, Miss Harrison, who always reminded him of his upcoming rent.
He'd ordered a special item off of the Magic Store's website, and thought It'd arrive in 3 days at best, but there was a knock on his door. He opened it, and there was his package. There wasn't a return-address, but he knew it was for him, so he opened it, and inside was a ring with a note that read:
“Dear valued customer,
Thank you for purchasing the Ring of Toon Furries. This item is nonreturnable, and will bond with the wearer once it's put on, and will permanently turn whoever the wearer wishes, into a toon furry of the wearer's choice. The person transformed into a toon furry, will think they've always been that way (unless the wearer says otherwise), and reality will change, so that only the wearer of the ring is aware of the changes. Just remember - the ring wants to be used. Have fun, but try not to have TOO much fun! ;)
Sincerely, ---------”
The signature was smudged out.
Without a second thought, Todd put the ring on his finger, but no sooner than he did, he heard a knock at the door. He opened it, and there was Miss Harrison, a woman in her late 40's, and not at all pleased with the empty box he'd left outside his room! “Mr. Simons,” she told him in an annoyed tone of voice “What is this box doing in the hallway?” “Sorry Mam.” he replied “I just got a package, and-” “Forget it!” she snapped “I don't want your excuses! You're on thin ice with me as it is! Just give me the rent you owe me, and I'll forget about it.”
At that moment, Todd heard a voice in his head:
<USE ME NOW!!!>
Not waiting to question it, he used the ring on Miss Harrison, she became 30 with all aging signs gone, and she also became a rather busty toon rabbit woman! She had white fur, with deep blue eyes, blonde hair, and wore white 4-fingered cartoon gloves, and a red dress which exposed her generous cleavage at the top. Her mind went fuzzy for a second. “I'm sorry,” she said in a sultry voice as she rubbed her furry forehead “what was I saying?” she looked at the empty box she was holding, and ate it “Sorry you had to see that,” she said witha nervous smile “I missed lunch today! Anyway, I must be going - my 7 oldest daughters are expecting me to visit them today. They're all still single - hint-hint!” she winked at him with a smile, and happily hopped away.
The ring told Todd that while Miss Harrison had never married, Mrs. Jackson (as she was now) was happily married with 36 kids - including 7 beautiful toon rabbit daughters who she was still trying to find husbands for, and were his age.
“Cool!” Todd said to himself.
<Next time master, please try not to cut it so close - you just got me, and I'd rather you not be out on the streets. I'm sorry I paniced back there. I'll try to keep my cool from now on.>
Todd was a bit surprised that his ring 'spoke' to him, but after seeing what it just did to his landlady, he chose not to question it.
