As you started out in the day, you met your original group of three friends on the bus. Kevin and I walked past the senior hideout, and started giggling as we recalled our events on Saturday.
The bus screeched to a stop at the last stop, where the rest of your pack boarded and found a seat next to you. "We have gym class first period" Eddie said. Normally we would groan or exclaim how boring it was. But today, they had a chance to test out their new abilities. "I'm pretty exited if that actually" Abby says. "One thing for sure is that it will be interesting and fun! Thomas exclaimed. "Did you hear we are running the mile today?" Said Alex. I laughed "I think we will beat the school record time!" They all laughed. The bus screeched to a halt as the brakes made the telltale swoosh noise. They walked into the gym locker and started to get changed. "Mile today" Yelled Coach Simmons. Coach Simmons always favored the people in the class who were most athletic and looked down on people who didn't do well. As we walked out to the school track/football field, you feel a surge of energy go through you, just as your body knows what it is about to do. Coach Simmons blew his whistle and started the timer. My pack took off and I could feel them hot on my heels. It felt like I had infinite energy as you passed the first bend of the track. You notice Alex with his aviators on comes right beside you, and he smiled and gave you the middle finger as he almost passes you. Not on my watch! You return the favor and go into a full out sprint. You aren't even breathing heavy yet when you turn the bend of the last lap. You and your friends whiz by coach Simmons and he stands there speechless as you just beat the record time for a mile by a minute and a half, your group trailing seconds behind you. Joshua and Zachary, the fastest runners before your change, kick the dust in anger once they are done with their mile. Then push-ups. You grin as you do fifty with relative ease. Then the sports, as the coach raised his whistle, I was picked team captain and picked my pack. We are first up to bat, as Thomas , with his batting gloves on, grinned. SMASH! The ball rocketed itself up in the air and was almost a home run. Thomas gaped, as that was the best hit he had ever done, as he rounded the base to third. Kevin smashed it again with the same result. 1-0. The game went on like that for a while until they managed to get three outs. Just as their batter had moved up to plate, Alex, threw the hardest, fastest ball ever, as Jasmine, the catcher, told us later that it almost broke her arm, straight over the plate. We were into the game, until the bell rang and we want inside for first period history.
