The ring's emerging awareness, decide what its wearer -mean- was not to let its master change a subject -who had already been made into a synthetic- against their free will.
The wizard had said and Casper had worried about two types of trouble with the ring that were external. The first was the power that be that took none too kindly to those who'd use reality warping items to rule the world.
The second was the self-righteous fury types who were magically aware and were basically vigilantes who saw themselves as judge and jury and didn't recognize any authority but their own. Thankfully Casper still had the phone number the wizard had given him for that lawyer who apparently dealt with that sort of them.
Casper hoped for Ashley's sake he didn't run into any of the latter.
Casper couldn't believed he missed such an epic chance to change so many as the collage football game, AND MUCH MUCH MUCH WORSE, he had missed Lana and Tommy's game!!! He was going to be doing a lot of apologizing. He never imagined turning humans into living pool toy people would mess with his life like this.
It wasn't that late YET . . . Casper scanned through a discarded news paper on the counter.
"Hey . . . wanna catch a collage game the next city over?" Casper asked.
