Dustin slowly took a large swig of the mixture, which was blue and almost tasted like some salty liquor. He got mixed feelings from the drink, but it didn't taste that bad. In fact, it almost tasted good. No, it tasted great. Dustin continued drinking the small vial, until all of the potion was gone.
He felt almost excited. He got out of his chair, and started running around, but suddenly, he felt a wave wash over him. It was almost like... a wave of water. Dustin found himself almost falling to the ground in his kitchen.
He slowly tried to make it to his couch, but he fell to the ground, his body relaxing before he even made it to the living room. His body started changing in wonderful ways, and he just felt like he never needed to move again.
Dustin smiled ad he felt his teeth grow sharper, almost poking at the gums of his mouth. His shoulders grew wider, filling in with muscle, and growing more tense every second. he looked at his skin, and to his suprise, found it turning into a light blue shade, with a tinge of gray.
As he sat on the ground, slowly changing, he felt his head grow bigger, expanding at an unbelievable rate, until he could stuff anything in his gigantic mouth. Rows of teeth punctured this new open space, and made tens of rows of sharp, thin teeth, that could be used to cut anything.
He felt his eyes grow wider, and his vision improve greatly. He felt the dizziness that had overcome him earlier slowly fade away as his feet started to meld together, forming more webbed feet than toes. Suddenly, he was overcome with the urge to find something to eat.
He knew he had Chinese on the way, but he needed something now! He sprinted into the kitchen, trying to find an object to eat. He quickly found a watermelon and stuck the whole fruit in his mouth, pushing it farther in as his hands became more web like than hand like.
Shafts that were small and unusable opened out of Dustin's neck, and he realized his terrible mistake. As he sprinted back to his room, he grabbed the box full of potions and decided he needed to make a choice.
He had to get in water before his gills were the only system that he used to breathe. He could feel his lungs absorbing less air every time he breathed in, and he knew he had to do this fast. It was a five minute walk to the beach, so Dustin could easily drive there in a minute.
Another choice was to jump into the river outside of his house, but if his body couldn't handle fresh water, he could be doomed. Instead off all this, I could just fill up his inflatable pool, he thought. The choice had to be made then and there. They were the only options. What would he do?
