Mary sat down on the couch and closed her eyes as Todd stood in the kitchen and was making sandwiches when Mary started to moan out loud.
“Ohh…. Ohhhh!” she moaned all of the sudden, as she sat up straight and craned her head back with her eyes closed tight. Then, she slowly began to shrink! Her legs began to shorten and her arms did the same! She was moaning the whole time, as the change lasted a few minutes.
Todd didn’t pay attention at first but when he heard Mary moaning the whole time, he walked out of the kitchen and into the living room where he was startled when he saw the changes which were taking place.
“Mary? Mary!” he shouted as he realized that his girlfriend was now a foot shorter than she was a moment ago! She almost seemed like she was the size of a little girl!
Then the moaning stopped and Mary opened her eyes, looking at Todd like he was a giant of a man.
“Ohh… I should have taken the entire vial! I only drank half of it and now it didn’t work!” she said groggily.
“Umm… What happens if you drink the rest of the vial now?” Todd asked her. “Will it still work?”
“Uhh… Probably not, since you’re supposed to drink the whole thing in one big gulp…” Mary said as she reached out for the box containing all the vails which was on the coffee table. She reached over and removed the vial from the box. Then, with her shorter arm, she unscrewed the cap and drank the rest of the vial with the word “Fly” printed on the label.
“There! But, I don’t know if it will work or not…” she sighed.
She set the empty vial down on the coffee table as she leaned back on the couch. She just relaxed as Todd looked on, with a worried expression on his face, while staring back at his girlfriend who appeared to be shrinking away into a smaller version of herself now.
Mary then groaned a little more, shrinking even farther than before.
Within moments, her arms, legs and torso dwindled down even further, while her head, hand and fingers shrunk in proportion with the rest of her body. In addition, her feet, her toes and the rest of her shrunk as well. After another minute had passed, Mary had dwindled down to about 6 inches in height when the shrinking had stopped again!
“Oh, NO! No! It failed!” Mary sobbed. “And I had so wanted to change into a fly!”
“But, wait!” Todd shouted, as he peered into the box. “There’s another vial in here! Look!”
Todd reached with his longer arm into the box and pulled out a vial with the word “mosquito” labeled on it.
“I know you’re smaller already but if you drink this, then it should work, Mary!” Todd said to his diminished girlfriend.
“Oh! Yes! Let me try that!” Mary cheered, as she took the large vial from Todd! The vial was almost as big as her entire body, so Todd helped tip it over and unscrew the car so that the giant vial’s contents could be consumed by his now tiny girlfriend.
It took Mary a minute or so to drink the serum, because the vial was so big and to her it seemed like she was drinking ten gallons of serum in one shot. But she persevered and she finished all of it!
“Uhhh…. I’m so full… hic!” she groaned, succumbing to the hiccups.
Then, Mary had to lie down on the couch where, after a few moments had passed, she started to shrink again, this time under careful observation of Todd.
But, this time, she shrunk rapidly as the serum appeared to be working correctly and as expected. Mary’s face started to develop a series of antennae, just like those of a mosquito. She shrunk down to just over 0.5 inches long. Her face split up into compound eyes which were separated from one another, laid out in a hexagonal pattern. The head also became elongated, forward-projecting and stinger-like with two sensory palps. Her arms and legs transformed into three pairs of legs and one pair of wings which were attached to her thorax. Lastly, her abdomen segment was capable of expanding in order to hold three times its own weight in blood.
When Mary’s transformation had completed, she decided to take off flying! She flew around Todd and buzzed around his ears before she flew outside the window, looking for some nectar to feed off of. But, what she really wanted was some nice, sweet, fresh human blood. She didn’t want to sting Todd, so she went out to find someone else instead…
