"I can't believe you were so selfish," Mary said as Katie left the store.
"Drop it Mary, please." Katie said, not in the mood to argue.
The other girl wouldn't though she shook her head. "You just had to make a wish on Josh and drag him into this. Its like you're bound and determined."
"Please, just drop it..." Katie pleaded. She was starting to get irritated. Since she'd mentioned Josh's part in this, Mary had become quite indignant.
"No, I wont drop it Mary. You've got to stop thinking only of yourself, and think of others! You got all of us into this mess, didn't give us a choice to begin with. It was you thinking like a little girl that got us until this mess."
Katie whirled around and stared at the girl. She couldn't believe this. Here was someone she'd come to know pretty much as if she was her sister....who had been so open and welcoming and now she was acting like Katie was still just a litlle girl. "Stop treating me like I'm just a kid."
"You are, Katie....that's just the problem!"
Katie's blood boiled, her fingers clenched. "Then I wish I was, and that you all would just learn to behave with me!"
