Frantically Mary tried to escape, but it seemed the more she tried to fly off the more she got stuck. The webbing was now sticking to all parts of her new fly body. "Damn" she thought in her still human mind, "I didn't think about spiders!" As Mary's futile attempts to escape caused more vibrations in the web, the large garden spider who created this silky trap was slowly finding his way towards his prey. Mary could see her predator. He seemed about 10 times her size and was an impressive site as he walked towards her on his silky strands. Mary hoped her friend would come looking for her and save her from this fate. As she continued frantically trying to escape the spider lowered himself over her. She felt a slight stinging sensation in her lower body, followed by a numbing sensation running through her. The spider has injected her with a paralyzing venom so she could no longer move. Within seconds Mary was motionless, only able to turn her head. The spider then used two his eight legs to hold her as he began to spin her around. As he spun her around, he shot more silky strands from his body which encased Mary in a coccoon. After wrapping her tightly, the spider sauntered off to another corner of the web. Mary lay motionless and trapped in a silky coccoon, waiting and wondering when the spider would come back to make a meal of her.
