“So based on your choices so far, would it be correct to assume that you’re aiming for a more traditional wedding?” Mr Wilkinson asked Clemens and Jenny.
“That’s what we’re looking at.” Jenny supplied the answer. “So what item to be tackled next?”
“What about the timetable?” Clemens asked.
“Well, based on the information you’ve supplied, this is where the reception and dinner would take place.” Mr Wilkinson started. “And you are certain of the start time of Three-in-the-Afternoon?”
“We are.” Jenny replied.
“Then it would be best for everyone to begin arriving at Two. From there, everyone would arrive and check into the reception, hand in their gifts to be kept safe if they haven’t done so earlier. Then at one, everyone makes for the Beaches Chapel where the Ceremony will be conducted, after which they return here where dinner and the cake-cutting will happen at Five, after the dinner is when the party will begin.” He ran a basic list of events and the time they would happen.
“I think that will work.” Clemens decided. “The dinner isss three-courssse?”
“That is correct.” Mr Wilkinson confirmed.
“Ssso, at leassst an hour for that, add on a half-hour for the party to begin at about half-sssixxx.”
“And allowing it to run until about nine, yes, that’s it.” Jenny agreed with Clemens.
“Then I’ll note that down as well, and that’s one more item taken care of.” Mr Wilkinson wrote down what had been decided before he checked the time. “I think we have enough time to resolve one more item.”
“Transportation then.” Jenny decided.
“Sssome will be driving here, and can do ssso to get from there accomodatttionsss to here, but othersss will need it arranged for them.” Clemens added.
“So how many will need transport arranged?”
“Eight are driving here, and will be able to take up to four each, that’sss thirty-two in total of the fifty-sixxx attending including oursselvesss.” Clemens made the mental arithmetic.
“Meaning twenty-four who’ll need transport for them?”
“That would be correct.” Jenny verified.
“I can have a list of the best ones in the area to hire the transport from, and send it over for you to decide.” Mr Wilkinson offered, needing to pick the candidates out first.
“That will work.” Clemens replied.
“Then I’ll make a note of that, and…” He checked the time. “And time’s almost up.”
“I see.” Jenny stated. “But we’ve made good progress I think.”
“That we have.” Mr Wilkinson said. “Now the next consultation is due Sunday next week, the next one a week after that, then a Dress Rehearsal the day before, correct?”
“That isss correct.” Clemens confirmed the fact.
“Than I’ll see you out, and look forward to seeing you again next week then.” Mr Wilkinson led them out with a smile.

“That’s a lot to get through.” Jenny remarked as they entered their apartment.
“That it isss.” Clemens agreed as his shirt came off. “But it’ll be worth it in the end.”
“So what now?” Jenny asked, it was still late afternoon so they had the rest of the day to themselves.
“Well, need to make sssome callsss to let them know what’sss been arranged ssso far, and onccce they have the invitesss ready, to sssend them out.”
“Then there’s everything else that still needs to be taken care of.” Jenny added. “But they did say they’d contact us by e-mail when they sort out each item.”
“After which we check it over and decccide if it’sss right.”
“And there’s still the matter of Best Man.” Jenny said. “Who will that be?”
“Well on my ssside there’sss Jossseph, and there isss Peter on yoursss.” Clemens referred to her older brother. “I think it should be one of them.”
“Well, we can decide that one later, for now there’s dinner to prepare. But could you start it off, I’d like to get a shower.”
“Of courssse.” Clemens agreed as he gave her a light hug.
“I won’t be too long.” She said as she slipped into their bedroom.
In the kitchen, Clemens got to work with the pork chops, pre-heating the oven as he got them ready in the dish along with a side of veg. for Jenny. He could hear the water running through the open doors so he knew that Jenny would likely be about fifteen minutes, which gave him time to think a few things over. While Jenny hadn’t said much about how the people she worked with reacted to her being engaged to himself, he could guess that it would most likely be a mixed one between them, not too dissimilar to how things happened with him following his own actually taking it. Some being supportive, others being indifferent, and the rest behind bars. Forcing his mind onto other matters he knew he owed Joseph a call sooner or later, to see how things were going on where he lived, and to let him know how things were going on here. He was that lost in his thoughts that the feeling of his trousers dropping down his legs came as a shock.
“You made that one easy for me.” Jenny giggled, standing next to him with a towel around her.
“Hey. I wasss working.” Clemens teased.
“Not very hard I see, you weren’t moving much.”
“Didn’t need to, everything isss ssset here.” Clemens replied as he got his trousers past his ankles.
“I know.” Jenny replied as she held him. “Your turn now.”
“Yesss ma’am.” Clemens chuckled as he left Jenny to take over the dinner as he picked up his clothes to set them in the bedroom, leaving the shoes and socks with them as he slipped into the shower, letting the hot water run down his back.
