Katie smiled as she watched all the other girls giggling to themselves as they patted the sand into shapes. Their surfboards had dissapeared and been replaced by sand toys which they now used. For their part, all of them seemed completely unaware of the changes, acting like normal little kids.
"It must have been the way I wished it," Katie thought. "I said that I wished we did start that young to learn together." Strangely though, Katie remembered everything to now, she had memories of being a preteen, even some of the understandings of it. For the most part she was the only one with any awareness. She decided to test the theory.
"Mary, how old are you?" She asked.
"Six, same as you silly!" Mary responded, grinning. She had a missing front tooth now. "We're in kindergarten together silly."
Samantha piped up, "Come and help me put shells on this tower Claudia!"
Claudia nodded, "We have to have a nice place for the prince to find his princess."
Kelly giggled at this point, "Maybe we could find a dragon too! Raawr!"
All the girls giggled at once. Katie smiled. It was incredible but her mother and these old women were perfect kindergarten kids. A day ago, before the ring, she'd want to play and get to know them, but they all had memories of growing up together. Somehow though, she did not. "That has to be the ring." She thought to herself.
Glancing over at Tricia, she saw the girl whispering something to Samantha and the two giggled to one another. They seemed so happy, Katie couldn't imagine changing them back right away.
"I know I promised I would tell them, but what would it hurt to let them have fun." Katie thought. "But we need someone to watch over us."
Katie pondered it. She liked being twelve, and this age was something she'd already been. Puberty was kinda weird but in a neat way. "What would it hurt...?" She thought to herself. "I wish everything about me was back the way it was when i was 12!"
A few minutes later, Katie sat in her two piece suit, with the warmth of the knowledge of a preteen fully restored to her mind. She smiled, gazing at the littler girls. It felt strangely alluring to be the largest one now, the one in charge."
"Thanks for taking us to the beach, Katie" Kelly piped. "Your the best big sister ever!"
All the girls nodded, "I wish I had a big sis like you!" Mary said.
Katie smiled, almost tempted to make that wish herself. As the day wore on the girls started to get tired and Katie knew their time was nearing its end. "I just have to figure out what to do..."
