A hand immediately went up, as Stephan was being led from the stage.
"Yes," Madame Illusia answered.
"Before you remove that stallion, I was wondering if I could buy him? You'd get the cash Stephan owes you, plus a profit," said a preppy dressed 19 year in the front row.
"Well, if you're going to sell him, at least let a friend by him. Johnny boy would probably geld him or sell him as dog food!" shouted another teen in the back.
"A horse auction, now there's an idea. Bring Stephan back on stage. Anyone wishing to bid come down front to examine what your bidding on..." she smiled this was an unexpected development.
John Guilder was the first to the stage from his front row seat. He reached up and like a knowledgeable horse trader examined Stephan's teeth. His hands were soon feeling Stephan's fetlocks, and musculature. "Good horse stock," he commented.
Mark Taylor and a troop of Stephan's friends from the high school were next up front. There was a mixture of awe at what their friend had become and anger that Johnny Guilder wanted to buy him. Human or horse they were there for their friend.
An assortment of farmers, and businessmen soon joined the young men. One whispered to Illusia,"Would he make a good race horse?"
