As the City was experiencing a fair deal of chaos produced by the New Perths, back at the home, Kelly Perth and her friends were starting their party for Melinda Cunningham. It was a little odd, two of them having the same first name, but she liked to be called Mel, so they made it work that way.
Right now though the music was up, and they were dancing away in the main living room with Melinda having arrived some minutes back.
“Some party huh?” Mary called out over the music.
“I know, it’s great!” Melinda called back as she took a long swig of the drink, kicking off her shoes as she did so to reveal the blackening ends of them.
“Rather hot in here though.” Mel added, tugging at her shirt until a surge of strength caused her to tear a hefty chunk of its front off, tears that ran from just under the collar and down and back before doing the same to her sleeves, only the cuffs left on.
“Yeesh! You know what you did!?” Kelly cut in as she witnessed Mel now ripping the forward portion of her skirt away to put her blue underwear and bra in clear view, along with the first tufts of light grey hairs over her belly.
“So? It’s hot in here.” Mel retorted cheekily as she now took a long drink to help.
“I suppose so.” June conceded the point, feeling the heat as well and oblivious to the fact that her own underwear was sliding down her legs thanks to a growing tail, only stepping out of them to check the CDs for the next good track.
“Besides, this is a party, so let’s have some fun!” Melinda forwarded, her own shirt open as she slid it off, her ears already long and pointed as they moved up her head.
“I, guess you’re right.” Kelly gave in as she too felt the need to open up her shirt as she pulled her skirt off, brown hairs running along her limbs and back.
As they continued to dance and drink, they failed to register their own changing forms, as long equine muzzles pushed out, feet lengthened and hardened into hooves, and to cope with their sprouting of horse fur bits of clothing were now scattered around the room.
A while later, and needing to stop and rest a moment, they were all now seated as they got their breaths back. Mel now missing her underwear and bra that probably lay behind the couch she was on, Kelly still had her bra on, but only that, Melinda had the most left on with only her shirt and shoes missing, Mary had thrown off all her clothes and sat with only her glasses perched precariously on her long face, while June was making do with her skirt as she peeled her bra off.
“So? What next?” June gasped as she leaned back into the seat, the discomfort caused by her new tail nagging away at her.
“Who knows? But I could show you around the outside if you want.” Kelly offered as she worked on quenching her thirst.
“That may be a good idea, and then come back here and finish the dance?” Melinda suggested as she came up a little too close to Mary.
“Or we could do the partying out there? There’s no-one else for miles around, after all.” Mary added to the point.
“Then, we could head out and I show you around then, after that decide where to finish the dance.” Kelly worked out and let the others know.
“Works for me.” Mel agreed as she rose a little unsteadily on hoofed feet as the now semi-equine friends left the house to be given the tour.

At the movie theatre where the New Mr and Mrs Perth were now seated and watching, a thought came to his mind. By now, he supposed those five would either be done changing, or at least well on their way. What made him think, however, was to what extent for them.
