You consider your options for several moments, as the pointer darts back and forth at the options on the screen. No pictures this time, just words. Either being too fearful of what the others could be, and completely having no idea what the disease-sounding Dicephalus something could possibly be (but it sounds bad), you decide to pick the slightly less threatening sounding "Avialae".
You and Mike wait anxiously, side by side, to find out your fates. The screen goes black and several agonizing moments pass silently.
"Ow!" Mike yells out suddenly, reaching towards his back in surprise. Turning him towards you, you notice a feathered dart sticking out of his left shoulder.
Quickly you yank the dart out and throw it to the ground. "Geeze, are you oka...." you start. But before you have a chance to finish the sentence, Mike bends over in pain.
In horror you watch as your twin brother transforms again, this time right in front of your eyes. His blue irises turn only black as he glances up at you in fear. His face is pushing out yet again, but this time his teeth are merging together, pushing out and painfully stretching out from behind his lips. His pained screams turn into bird-like cries as his tongue changes with his newly forming beak. Feathers are erupting all over his body, much like the fur did last time.
His posture in crunched over, his arms transforming thin elongated limbs, large feathers forming them into wings. His wings wave around aimlessly as you now watch his entire body begin to shrink rapidly as it takes on a distinctly bird-like shape. Sharp claws push out of his now crow-like feet, as tail feathers push out from his behind, fanning out into a light yellow fan.
His body shrinks even smaller than it had as a rat, until all that's left of Mike is a very upset songbird. His angry tweeting is familiar to you, as you realize that your brother has been transformed into an oriole. To your horror, based on the lighter colors of his feathers, you identify Mike as not only being an oriole, but a female one.
Once again the digitized voice comes back on, as the screen shows you the options.
