"I think if we're going to have the most fun, may as well be preteens." Mika said. "Make Lizzy 12 like the rest of us."
Katie nodded and formed her wish. As she did, she observed the changes to the still sleeping six year old. Slowly, the roundness of childhood. Her body began to grow more lanky, almost coltish as years were added and childhood slipped away. Within moments, the kindergartener was a beautiful young hispanic sixth grader. Her hair was long and flowed down over her shoulders, her skin dark and beautiful, without a blemish or any mark. Her finger and toenails were painted pink, poking out from the sleeves of a white nightgown that had formed around her body. A small crucifix affixed itself on a silver chain around her neck, and tiny earrings sparkled in her ears. She yawned...opening her eyes, "OH! Mika! Katie! Don't tell me I fell asleep already! Mia Dios!"
The two girls stared at one another then at her. Lizzy's mind of course, had been altered by the wish to accept things exactly as they were. "Uhm, guess you were just tired, nothing a little soda and tons of ice cream wont fix." Katie said.
"Yeah, I'm going to eat so much Ill get sick!" Lizzy exclaimed, going inside.
Again the two girls stared in astonishment. Gone was the hard line police woman who had pulled them over, replaced by an irresponsible, giddy child. Katie grinned, amazed at her work. Mika was less certain. The more she experienced, the more she realized she was starting to think like a girl herself. She couldn't believe it but ... she was actually looking forwards to this as if it were her first real sleepover. What was happening?
