Katie might be fourteen, but she had the mentality of a six year old. It was kind of fun watching her formerly stuffy, worried mother squirm, but at the same time she remembered how happy she'd been before she'd become aware. Katie wasn't malicious though, she could see her mother was freaking out and she was smart enough to know how it felt to be scared.
"Mom..." she said.
Kelly spun around, wide eyed. Katie took a gulp, "I did this."
"What?" Kelly said, staring at her.
Katie held up the ring, "I did this. I found this ring, and it lets me change a persons age."
"You...you did this..." Anger bordered on disbelief. This wasn't possible, but then again, everything she'd experienced was impossible. "Why..."
"I wanted to have fun ... and I did, so did you, remember?"
Kelly blinked. Despite herself...she had. She'd had more fun, more delight than she'd had in years. "That doesnt change things! I'm your mother, Katie! And you lied to me just now..."
"I was just trying to play a joke..." Katie said. "im sorry."
"Your just a child in a grown body Katie! Give me that ring, and Ill set things back to the way they should be."
