Driving was a blast for Katie. While poor Kelly spent most of it with fingers clenched and face pale, Katie just loved it. She'd wished for the knowledge to know how to drive, and driving itself wasn't hard once she got it. But for Kelly, the drive was extremely stressful.
"Slow down! Watch out! Stop!" Kelly kept demanding, demeaning. She kept throwing her tiny arm out to protect Kelly whenever they stopped, something she'd done as an adult. Katie had enough. "I wish Kelly would become another year younger and her clothes would alter to suit her age."
Kelly for her part, felt the warmth of the tingle and almost immediately knew what it was. Blinking, she could only watch as the changes began. Her budding breasts diminished more and flattened to only slight mounds beneath her shirt. Her arms and legs began to grow ever more gangly and coltish, with hands and feet slightly large by comparison to them. Her feet in turn, started to leave the floor, just slightly and she had to strain to put them flat. Her clothes shifted. The outfit the teenager was wearing altered to a washed out blouse, her skirt becoming jeans, and her feet were now clad in dusty old pink converse sneakers. Staring at her face in the window, Kelly saw a preteen girl staring back. Freckles dotted her nose, which had rounded and upturned, her face now only hinting at the beauty to come.
"Oh noooo!" She moaned, noticing her voice being high.
Katie tisked. "Guess we're going to have to see a PG movie instead of PG 13 now."
"I just wanted you to be a safe driver!" Kelly insisted, her voice whining like a petulant child.
"I was, mom. You need to relax. Come on, we're here at the movies."
