With all his worries about abusing his powers, Ty getting around his life in a daze, somehow still doing his homework and chores. (His foster parents was surprised to see him even more compliant than usual.)
He only got back to himself on Sunday, when he remembered that, like every week, his family and him were going to church. June and Mark actually prided themselves as good Christians, which always made him cringe. "If they truly were as faithful as they say, they wouldn't treat me as a slave, nor would they reward Dustin's bullying." he always thought.
As a true believer, Ty would never miss the service a Sunday morning, not even to be away from his foster family. In fact, it was thanks to his faith that Ty was still able to go about his life, despite all the crap he goes through everyday.
While at the church, Ty prayed for his supposed caregivers finally saw their wrongdoing, like always. But this time, he also asked God for some sort of guidance with his new powers.
When everyone was about to go back home, a mysterious hooded figure entered the church, before kneeling in front of the cross. This shadow then spoke to God, loud and clear, in a feminine voice. "Ô Lord, great creator of all things, I kneel before you, acknowledging you as the true, and only God, renouncing Satan and his foolish ways."
That alone, was enough to cause indignation from almost everyone present, but they were going to be even more. "I'm not asking for a place in heaven, I know I'm far beyond redemption…" Said the mysterious girl, before dropping her hood, revealing two impressive ram-like horns. "… Like every demons. Nor do I hope to survive another day." She then raised her head, looking at the figure of Jesus on the cross, adding "But the one who made me see the errors of my ways, who made me see the light, he is in grave danger. As soon as my kin will discover his existence, they will go after him, wanting to kill him! …or worse!"
The repenting demoness was now crying. "P-please, just… Make sure none of my kin will always touch his soul, o-or even come an-anywhere around him! Not even me! I will do anything to ensure he is protected! Absolutely anything!" She seemed hopeless.
For some reason, Ty thought he already heard this voice in the past, but couldn't remember were.
His thinking was interrupted when, to everyone's surprise, a strong voice boomed inside the church, seemingly coming simultaneously from nowhere and everywhere. Somehow, something in it made clear who said voice belonged to: God himself.
