All and all Jamie was happy to go back to her ordinary life after the night she spent in the kingdom. It took a little adjusting but soon enough Jamie found she had complete control over her new shape-shifting ability. There had only been one scare during her first day back in class where she could feel a tail growing under her pants but she found she could simply stop the transformation by focusing on being human. Jamie spent the rest of the week without changing and tossed "The Kingdom" in her hallway closet determined to forget about the whole ordeal.
It was a quiet evening and Jamie and her roommate Sarah were spending it indoors watching some TV. "When is Lara getting here?" Sarah asked. Lara was a mutual friend of Jamie's and Sarah's that attended classes with them. She was 24, around 5 foot 8, brown hair and was very attractive.
"Should be here any minute" Jamie responded. Almost with that there was a knock on the door and Jamie got up to answer it. Sure enough it was Lara "You guys ready for movie night?" she asked as she came in. Jamie and Sarah laugh as they all got comfortable on the couch and relaxed.
Two hours and one movie later the girls were beginning to get a little restless. "This is boring" Sarah said "I don't feel like watching another movie, I'm going see if I can find us something more fun to do" getting up from the couch. Jamie glanced at Lara and smiled "I'm glad you were able to make it over, I really needed to relax today".
"No problem" Lara responded "Honestly I just felt like the kind of mood where..."
Lara was cut off from Sarah screaming from behind them. Both Jamie and Lara shot up from the couch and turned around, what they saw next was a huge surprise. Sarah was standing at the closet door with "The Kingdom" open in her hands, from the knee down she was stone and it was spreading fast. "Whats happening to me?" she screamed before turning completely stone. Jamie and Lara just stood there fixated on her before two beams of light shot out of the game hitting them and transporting them to the silver hallway filled with doors.
Lara was completely shocked and confused as she looked around the hallway "What's going on?". Jamie ignored her and went up to the Sarah statue were there was a note left. It read:
Welcome to the kingdom, the ultimate experience to become one with nature and release your wild side. This hallway holds hundreds of doors each containing hundreds of forms and hundreds of keys. But only five are needed to save your friend.
"No no no not again!" Jamie cried, this caught Lara's attention. "What you've been here before?" she asked.
"Yes, I bought this game a week ago to play while babysitting" she explained "The game is magical or something. The only way to save Sarah is to get five keys in five rooms".
This was all sounding really strange to Lara but she decided to go along with it "alright well lets get these keys and get out of her then".
"It's not that simple, the rooms change you into animal s" Jamie said embarrassed.
"Have you lost you're mind Jamie!? People can't just change into animals!"
"Oh yah watch this" Jamie said while focusing on her hand becoming a hoof. Jamie kept trying but nothing happened "Huh what's going on?" Maybe it's because I'm back in the game realm Jamie thought. Lara just looked at her skeptically. "Fine if you don't believe me you'll have no problem searching for the first key with me then" Jamie said as she took Lara's hand and headed in the first door.
