The Magic Shop

Let's Read the Rules for 'Beautiful You'

added 10 years ago O

You are browsing the aisles of this strange Magic Shop, when you come to a shelf with a few boxes on it. Looking at the sides of the stacked boxes you see the names of a few board games you have never heard before. 'Beautiful You' is the newest looking and has the brightest colors, so you pick it up. The top has four colors in a pinwheel as the background: Blue, Red, Green, Purple. There are four symbols at the bottom, in black: a star, a hoof print, a brain, and a heart. There are small silhouettes of people and... creatures all over. The rules are on the bottom:

Welcome to 'Beautiful You,' a game of chance and change. The stakes are high, but there is nothing to be afraid of!

For one or more players.

Included in this box are: Four colored decks of change cards, four decks of chance cards, two plastic racks, a reset button, and an indestructible minute timer. Only the change cards are necessary to play.

Start by choosing how many people will be playing. There are four decks of change cards (order more with the included form or online!) each player will choose a colored deck to be their own, shuffle it, and place it where every other player can reach it. Every card in each of these decks should be the same color. There are four chance decks in a plastic rack for convenience. Shuffle each and place similarly, if you wish to use these. Every card in each of these decks should have the same symbol.

Choose the first player, and play will proceed to the left. During a turn, a card from that players deck will be drawn. The card will have a question about an aspect of another player's normal body (you must remember, this is a magic game). A question such as "What is the BMI of player Two?", "How long is player Four's penis?", "How wide are the areolas of player Three?", "What shoe size is player One?", or "What age is player Four?" The person who's turn it is does not have to read the card aloud, but does have to answer aloud the best the player can. If the player can guess or answer correctly, nothing happens. If the given answer is incorrect, the player's body will change to have the questioned attribute from the other player mentioned on the card.

Once a player misses an answer a chance card can be drawn, if they are being included in your game. Players may choose from the decks known as Star (the star), Wild (the hoof print), Mind (the brain), and Fetish (the heart). Star chances will usually deal with the same aspect questioned in the player card and create a change in the players body to have the listed attribute of a listed celebrity on the card. Wild chances will list an animal and attribute such as tails, ears, mouths, noses, bone structures, sizes, and extremities. Mind chances will alter people's perceptions or reactions; a player may become more or less lustful, shy, scared, and so on. Fetish chances will always change the player's body in a sexual attribute; growth or shrinkage of body attributes. The change included in a chance card is usually radical. Once a player draws this card it must be vocally accepted or denied. If denied, the turn is over and both cards go to the discard pile. If accepted, the previous attribute alteration goes away and the player's body changes according to the new attribute. Both cards go in the discard pile.

It is then the next player's turn.

The first player to hit the reset button (undoing all changes to their body) is the loser. Play can continue until all but the last person has hit the button. Cards drawn from the change deck will only include the remaining players. The last remaining player is the winner.

Alternate rules:

Limited Chance: Remove one or all chance decks from play at the beginning.

Solitaire: One player can start a game alone or practice by selecting a picture of a real or fictional human and drawing from a single change deck. Chance decks may be included.

Timed Play: The timer can be included from the beginning of a game to shorten turn times or add excitement. Turn over the glass when the player draws from the change deck, turn again if the player draws from the chance deck. Failure to start an answer within the time will result in acceptance of the changes on the card.

Notes/ Tips:

Changes occur after a moment, and the results of change cards usually take about a minute to complete. Chance cards take no longer than five minutes to complete, with Mind chances being immediate.

The game, itself, will not endanger you or place you in a state of mind or being where pressing the reset button is impossible.

Other players can assist in pressing the reset button - even trick or physically force a player into pressing it.

Other players can draw, read aloud, and discard cards for another player during the turn. The player whose turn it is must still answer aloud to the cards. It is recommended players draw and read their own cards, but we recognize this may not always be possible. Please consider pressing the reset button at that point.

The included reset button is not the only way to reset. Any player can draw a circle and write an R or "RESET" inside at any time to create a reset button on any medium.

Players must be conscious to participate in turns.

There is no commitment. Any player can leave at any time by hitting the reset button and any player can choose not to press the reset button, these choices are not binding on other players.

If a deck is incorrectly formed, meaning it has a card from another deck inside, a player will simply place that card in the discard pile.

Please remember that BMI, Total Weight, Muscle Ratio, and Fat Ratio are separate things.

There is no rule against stacking decks before play - with or without the knowledge of other players.

There is no time limit and no distance restriction.
