"Well, I'm happy to see you're having fun," Felicity said, "because this spell will only last until sundown, just long enough to get you home."
"Oh, I see." Mary said half disappointed.
"Since you don't have magic, I'll accompany you; there's still some dangerous things for people our size."
"Thank you." Mary said. "Well, I guess we better get going then."
Mary and Felicity flew from the tree out of the forest and over the rooftops of houses until Mary saw her neighborhood. She guided Felicity to her back door where Mary said. "Here we are. I can't thank you enough for all your help. I'd be a goner without you."
"You're welcome; but... one thing still bugs me, where did you get that serum in the first place?"
"Oh, well, I got this case of vials in the mail; they let me turn into all kinds of things, like the butterfly you found me as."
"Hmm..." Felicity was clearly thinking about something as Mary suddenly began growing. Her ears rounded out, and her wings shriveled and were absorbed into her back. Fortunately for her, her clothes adapted to her new size.
"Oh, I guess this is goodbye then?" Mary lamented.
